Victims Against Crime is a homicide support and prevention group founded in 1991 by a bereaved parent, Jacqueline Sharpe, after the death of her son, Jason La-Mont Sharpe.  VAC's homicide support group purposes two fold, to provide a comfortable setting for families of murder victims and to come together in a supporting, loving, and understanding environment.

The support, love, and understanding, comes from victims who have gone through similar circumstances.  Experienced professionals work to create an environment where family members can express their feelings, find answers to their questions about the court system, and learn how others have put their lives back together after the death of their love one.   Over the years VAC has had a juvenile, teenage, and adult homicide support group and has assisted hundreds of crime victims and their families.

In 1992 VAC established the Jason La-Mont Scholarship.  We have given away ten scholarships, since 2004, to the love ones of homicide victims to pursue higher education.

VAC's Homicide Support Group was named in honor of their longtime, faithful, facilitator Dr. Rev. T. David Parham on his retirement from the group in 2004.
